The SONCEBOZ 5455 products is a new series of brushless DC motors, with simple and innovative design. This motor provides high reliability and offers a cost effective solution for drive and positioning applications. A low self-heating of the motor allowing continuous output power from 80 to 140 W is provided without external cooling. Higher values are possible depending on duty-cycle and additional heat dissipation. A specific design reduces torque's harmonics and allows a low noise operating mode for application where silence is relevant.
Based on a 57mm compact front flange, 3 lengths are available: 1.5", 2" and 3". The 3-phase devices with 3 integrated Hall effect sensors deliver logical signals for the driver and for position control. High quality bonded Neodymium magnet coupled with a design optimisation offer a high motor torque constant and a great efficiency. Motor resistance and shaft dimensions are particularly customisable according to specific requirements as driver voltage, operating speed or mechanical interfaces.
These high level of performances make the 5455 motor series suitable for high quality devices where speed and accuracy prevail. The launch of the 9522 Series driver and control electronics (expected for end 2008) will bring to the market a complete and state-of-the-art mechatronic solution.
