 | The protection of our environment is a major concern for SONCEBOZ. |
In order to attain this objective, SONCEBOZ has chosen a both pro-active and systematic approach. This approach is based upon an environmental management system that is compliant to the ISO 14001 standard.
The board of directors is committed to the integration of the environmental protection in their management practice taking into account the following aspects:
- Legal requirements and the laws in force are respected,
- Guarantee the reduction of the environmental impacts as well as the minimal usage of resources through a process of continuous improvement guided by objectives,
- Both develop and apply an index system that describes the most significant environmental aspects in order to measure the progress that has been made,
- Raise in each individual member of the company’s work force the awareness for their personal involvement in the environmental protection effort,
- Evaluate and permanently reduce potential environmental risks in order to prevent accidents and reduce their impact in case they occur,
- Act in partnership with the competent authorities,
- Take into consideration the expectations of all concerned parties and strive to satisfy them,
- Involve the suppliers in the effort to reduce environmental impacts.
