From Tata to Bugatti with SONCEBOZ technologies inside

As astonishing as that can appear, the least expensive car as well as the fastest in the world use technologies conceived and manufactured in integrality in Switzerland. SONCEBOZ SA, established for more than 70 years in the heart of the Bernese Jura, is indeed supplier of the Indian conglomerate Tata and the prestigious automobile brand Bugatti. Used since many years by European manufacturers such FIAT, PSA, Mercedes or VW, it seems relevant that the Indian Tata calls upon Swiss technologies. Promoted as the car of the people, Mr Ratan Tata indicated that it had wished to develop a “sure product and accessible to all”. By choosing “Swiss Made” the CEO of the powerful Indian conglomerate was not mistaken.

Expensive car (1.1 million €), Bugatti Veyron is also the fastest in the world, reaching 408.47 km/h in 55 seconds! Icon par excellence of the automobile world, Veyron is a concentrate of advanced technologies and innovation. By sharing its know-how in robust and reliable movements technology, we were awarded for the supply of a hand brake mechanism. Active in the field of passive safety, the delivered linear actuator is aimed at avoiding a blocking of the brake system. It thus includes an engine part, developing a strong power, as well as a mechanical part of high precision.
